What the critics say

The cafe is gorgeous and serves a lovely meal....The cakes are wonderful. If possible do catch one of the cabaret shows...truly a gem in Dublin city! To read the full review visit www.tripadvisor.com

A splendid little cafe just opposite the James Joyce Centre, the Cobalt occupies the ground floor of an elegant Georgian building and serves honest-to-goodness sandwiches stuffed with lots of lovely fillings. The big fireplace is the spot to warm those winter toes. To read the full review visit www.lonelyplanet.com

Just around the corner from O'Connell Street is the fashionable Cobalt Café.... its relaxed atmosphere and picturesque surroundings make it a perfect spot for lunch. .... it regularly showcases new exhibitions by up-and-coming Irish artists. ....Perfect, then, for a quiet cultural afternoon. Although the menu is very simple, the food is superb and served well. .....Great in winter or in summer, a lovely place to stop for a while. To read the full review visit www.qype.ie
